THE START-UP GUIDE

Rental dates sometimes need to change after a customer books. Always check availability before moving an existing rental.

Before changing the dates

Confirm the new requested period is available for the exact product or variant. Consider any booking buffers and nearby reservations.

Update the booking

Open the customer's booking in The Dress Rental App, edit the rental dates and save the change. Recheck the booking details after saving.

Confirm the storefront availability

The original period should be released if it is no longer required, while the new rental period should become unavailable according to the product's inventory settings.

Communicate the change

Make sure the customer understands the revised dispatch, pickup, event and return dates, especially if the change affects fulfilment.

Important: Do not move a booking into dates already reserved by another customer simply because the calendar looks close. Verify the full rental and buffer period first.
