THE START-UP GUIDE

Before sending customers to your store, complete a full rental test from the storefront rather than checking settings only inside the app.

1. Open a rental product

Confirm the rental calendar and any relevant selectors display correctly on desktop and mobile.

2. Choose a date and duration

Check that unavailable dates cannot be selected and that the chosen duration produces the expected rental period and price.

3. Add the rental to cart

Confirm the cart contains the correct product, variant, dates, price and rental information.

4. Test fulfilment choices

Check shipping, pickup, local delivery or custom delivery methods that your store offers.

5. Review terms and fees

Confirm bonds, cleaning fees, add-ons and terms acceptance appear according to your configuration.

6. Check notifications

Use an email address you can access and review any customer messages triggered by the test booking.

7. Recheck availability

After creating the test rental, return to the product calendar and confirm the booked period is now blocked according to your inventory method.

8. Test a second product

Repeat the process on a product with different variants or settings. This helps catch template-specific and product-specific issues before launch.

Launch rule: Do not rely on a single successful product-page test. Complete the entire customer journey at least once.
